Conference: Scenic folklore - sources and their arrange
Accompanying event of 39th Highland Folklore International Festival
The international conference “Scenic folklore- sources and their arrange” will be held as the festival’s accompanying event. It is unique because of its subject – nowadays many festival’s are not held as competition any more. That’s why many folk groups decides to present their program as a “show” and don’t care for the authenticity of presented traditions and customs what is bad for folklore. The Zakopane festival remains competition.
The result of the conference will be elaboration of a new regulations of the festival and publishing of book that may be used as a manual on other similar festivals.

11.30 continuance of conference (the lectures) - Zakopane Town Hall

15.00 the debate ( the member's will get an old festival statute, tomorrow they will can offer the changes) - Zakopane Town Hall
18.30 supper

Visehrad's Day in festival village ( promotion of touristic, cuisine) – all day
9.00 the debate (the propositions of changes which should be show in festival statute) - Zakopane Town Hall
11.00 coffee break
14.00 dinner
after dinner – free time
the members will be guests on the bonfire
19.00 Party
The jurors during all festival will be sum all affects of conference and they will write out new festival statute.
The lectures will be read on conference by scientists - outstandings theorist of folklore.
On that debate will be invite also outstanding practises – the directors of the folklore groups. They will confront the theory and practice.
