According to the plans announced by the Ministry of Infrastructure the Krakow-Nowy Sacz-Muszyna railway line is to form a part of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T), which will shorten the travelling time between Krakow and Zakopane to 70-80 min.
The plans include building 40 km of the railway line and rebuilding another 100 km. The investment will cost 3 bilion Euro. These sections will be incorporated into the TEN-T network in the next two years and the undertaking should be finalised by 2020.
