I eat here often when I visit Zakopane. It's close to the center of town but just far enough away from the touristy Krupowki Street to give you a taste of real Polish food in a relaxed setting. The staff are always welcoming and gracious and the food, while not flamboyant, is very good. I find their soups especially tasty. The building is a large original 2 story log house dating from about 1850, and has played a role in Polish History and Politics since it was built.
