Easter Egg Skiing Competition
Every year, traditionally, on Easter Monday Zakopane hosts the Easter Egg Skiing Competition (Zawody na Starym Sprzęcie) - a unique sports event. On this day all skiiing enthusiasts meet to participate in one of the two skiing competitions. The first one consists in skiing downhill using the OLD skiing equipment (the faster the better), whereas the other one looks more like a ballet on skis as the participants have to make as many ''skiing jumps, falls and other acrobatic figures as possible''. Good fun and lots of joy for everyone. The highlander's band makes the skiing even more enthusiastic.
