Truly excellent place. After half an hour walk up the mountains from the city you end up in a friendly, cosy hotel with a picturesque panorama of the Tatra mountains. Great (and v. cheap!) food which is especially important when it snows hard and you can't get back to Zakopane for dining in local (much more expensive) restaurants. They also have a well-equipped bar, sauna, ski-lift... And, as it turned out, a jazz festival (very popular among Poles), held every year some time in October...
